Every great film begins with a great story. And we believe that great stories do not just live in the minds of professional writers — they live in every corner of Bangladesh, in every community, in every family, in every person who has ever witnessed something worth sharing.
Today, we are thrilled to announce the Riverine Motions Open Story Call 2025. This is an open invitation to anyone — regardless of experience, background, or location — to submit a story idea that could become our next film. We are looking for narratives that capture the essence of Bangladeshi life, culture, and the human experience.
We are not looking for polished screenplays. We are looking for raw, authentic story ideas — a memory, a family legend, a community event, a personal journey, a social issue that needs a spotlight. Our team will work with selected submissions to develop them into fully realized films.
This is your chance to be part of something meaningful. To see your story, your community, your experience reflected on screen with the care and authenticity it deserves. Submission is free, and we welcome entries in both Bengali and English.
